Other people's lack of understanding regarding the Betawi tribe sparked a movement by the Betawi people to form an organization or community, namely the Betawi Rempug Forum. This organization was created as a place to fight for the rights of the Betawi people and preserve Betawi culture itself. However, as time went by, the role of the Betawi Rempug Forum organization began to shift from social identity to economic practice. This mass organization is used as a source of livelihood for its members, such as working as a parking lot and maintaining security in the community. In practice, there is symbolic power used by the organization to maintain its territory, giving rise to the symbolic power of the parking lot as power and the emergence of thuggery in the market by carrying out acts of extortion that are not in accordance with the role of the Betawi Rempug Forum in general. The method employed in this research is qualitative analysis using data collection techniques through literature review. The research findings indicate that capitalism and globalization have escalated the culture of consumerism in Indonesia, marked by the increased usage of credit cards, online loans, and exerting negative influences on the social and economic aspects of society. The government has responded with policies aimed at curbing excessive consumption but also supports concerts and consumerist culture. Marcuse's critical theory encourages individuals to recognize their social circumstances as problematic and take transformative actions that can liberate them from the capitalist domination that fosters limited perspectives. One of its responsibilities is for increasing public participation in the election. Several months before the election day, KPU held election parade in which all parties and the people participated. This research aims to the describe the role of the regional KPU in Pekanbaru increasing political participation at the city through the parade. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data were collected through documentation and interviews and analyzed based on community knowledge. It is the use of the resources in the sea to improve people’s economy based on maximum efforts to preserve marine ecosystem. This research aims to find out how the blue economy is implemented to improve the people’s economy. The authors used qualitative method and obtained data from books, news websites, journals, research reports in the form of theses and dissertations, and e-books. Blue economy sectors include marine capture fisheries and aquaculture, marine-based industries, shipbuilding industry, coastal-based tourism, maritime services, biotechnology and bioeconomy, research and development, and education. One of those is promotional activity. YouTube is one of the most popular social media platforms with 139 million users and, therefore, has the potential power to support promotional activities in any field, including the promotion of traditional Indonesian culinary delights. ‘Yenny di Cina’ is a YouTube account that consistently shares Chinese language videos with the theme traditional Indonesian culinary to Chinese target audience. The aim of this research was to identify promotional messages of the video that is about ‘Gulai Ayam’. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with which the content of the video was analyzed. It was found that this ‘Gulai Ayam’ video has four promotional fungtion elements which include informing, persuading, reminding and assisting.
